The happiest place on earth!

We finally did it!  We took a trip to the "Happiest place on earth"  Disneyland!  Payton has been wanting to go since we moved here almost four years ago.  Wow four years boy has it gone by fast.  Anyway, we packed the kids up and headed to CA for a three day weekend.  We left after Payton go out of school on Thursday and drove to our hotel just north of Disneyland.  On Friday we got up early ate breakfast at the hotel and headed out for a day at the park.  Thank goodness my friend Wendy was willing to give me a crash course on Disneyland so we could be prepared for the long day ahead.    We had a great time, Talon was a little cranky in the morning but I'm thinking that was the late night before and waking up at 5am the next morning.  After a short nap he was good to go.  We ended the day with fireworks on main street and then snow (ok it was soap)  Still fun!  On Saturday we surprised the kids with brunch at Goofy's kitchen.  This was a gift from Uncle Kelly and Aunt Val  for Christmas.   What a awesome gift!  Payton loved every minute of it.  Talon had a great time too, just was not so sure of Captain Hook.  After brunch Barry and I surprised the kids with Build a Bear.  Thank goodness mommy is all about coupons.  Payton picked out a wolf and Talon a dinosaur.  After a short stop back at the hotel we headed for Huntington Beach for the afternoon.  This was Talon's first trip to the beach, Payton's second.  They loved running in the sand and surf.  We ended the day out with dinner at the House of Blues in downtown Disney.  On Sunday we got packed up then had lunch with our friends Bev and Jack who moved back to CA from AZ about a month ago.  It was a busy weekend but lots of fun.  We made great memories.  I'm looking forward to making a rocking scrapbook to record them in too.
