She's crazy about foxes!
She's crazy about foxes, is a under statement. My 8 year old daughter Payton LOVES foxes. This started on the fox thing a few years back, Barry and I kept thinking it would wear off at some point or she would find something else to like more but NOPE, not the case. So we continue to collect fox this and that. Her cousin's got her some great fox gifts for her birthday. This super cute bag that she now takes everywhere, a book, a necklace and the list goes on. My mom even caved and bought her the fox dog toy that she has been wanting for over a year now. Right before Christmas I was looking around on Etsy and found this crocheted fox hat pattern. I thought to my self how hard can it be to fallow a pattern. I know how to crochet! So I ordered the patter and two others ( a owl and raccoon) Well lets just say I can't read a pattern to save my life. My mom taught me how to crochet and then I just started making things using the stitches I know. I tried and tried to read that pattern even borrowed a book from a Debra to help me out. I ended up just making it, that is how I seem to do a lot of things like this, I just think in my head this what I'm going to do and I make it happen. So here is a picture of her fox hat.
Now I'm thinking I might have to add eye's and a nose? I found a picture of one with eye's and a nose and really liked it. Once I was done with the fox hat, Payton said I should make a chicken one for their cousin Ava, so I set out to make a roster hat that looked like her pet roster Mo. Emily has promised to send me a picture once they get it in the mail of Ava in her Mo hat, so I can post it for you! I'm now working on my own Owl hat, and Talon informed me last night he would like a Lion one, we will see.
